Longtime UL Lafayette Leader Receives “No Man is an Island” Award

On Sunday, July 19, the Louisiana Youth Seminar (LYS) recognized Liz Baudin Landry with the 2015 “No Man is an Island” Outstanding Delegate Alumni Award.

The seminar is a week long summer leadership program for high school students who demonstrate leadership abilities in their schools and communities. The organization created the “No Man is an Island” award in honor of an outstanding delegate alumni who exemplifies the ideals of LYS and has made exceptional contributions to something greater than themselves since their time with the organization.

Landry first attended LYS in 1975 and has been a loyal supporter since then. Landry also served two terms on the board of directors and continues to help with the recruitment at Lafayette schools.

Landry graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and has worked at the university for 32 years.
