Live report from your favorite Boots on the Ground 🥾 LYS reporters! Tuesday was all about finding your voice, speaking with confidence, and learning how communication helps leaders make waves.
After an enthusiastic start, delegates headed into Speaking Out Workshop, led by red shirt Brianna Anderson. SOW gave delegates the tools, outline, and staff support they needed to write and deliver their own speeches. And did they ever rise to the occasion!
Today’s Spotlight Involvement Session was Dyadic Encounter 🤝, led by Bill Cao. Delegates focused on building one-on-one connections, asking good questions, and diving a little deeper with their fellow delegates. Bill bets you’ll make a new friend!
This afternoon, delegates put their SOW skills to work with candidate speeches for LYS political office. How awesome were they?! Then Home Group spirit surfaced again during Song Competition 🎶.
Tonight wraps up with a special ceremony honoring staffers 5-year commitment to LYS 🖐, and Political Party Primaries — Whiggies 🐷 vs. Tories 🐔.
